Ten Years in...........

This is the card I made for hubby on our 10th Wedding Anniversary the other week.

Seeing as it was 10 years, ten hearts seem poignant. I cut the heart using the Doodlecharms cart on the Cricut machine, using the normal setting and the shadow for the one behind.

The papers were a mixture; green spotty Anna Griffin; CreatePaper; Heritage; Black Crinkle paper I got from my stash.
I edged them with chalk inks; lime for the green ones and creamy brown for the brown ones etc.

Ribbons were from my local craft shop.

I wrote the sentiment in free hand although I wish I hadn't, I used my trusy marvy le plumme pens for that.

I'm Back

Hi
Been away from blogging...
just spent a fantastic holiday in Scotland touring round in an old VW Camper van.

It was great, the weather stayed fine for us which was amazing. We covered off a fair few miles; we toured along the East coast and up to Inverness and then headed south along the lochs and along the West coast, stopping to camp at places with sea views.

The sunsets were spectacular and the scenery was out of this world.

It is nice to be back in my own bed though, despite the fun driving about in the Camper it does get a bit a bit cramped after a while.
Plus I was missing crafting.
I have added some pictures for you to look at and share what a fantastic time we had.

To Have and to Hold

I created this using some free papers from a magazine and some lovely ribbon and flowers that Samm kindly gave to me.
The 'To Have and to Hold' is a stamped and embossed using 'Sea Foam' embossing powder. The stamp is from Stampendous and it is stamped onto a brown/bronze paper.
I have edged the flowers with creamy brown chalk ink.

I am One #2

Been away so apologies for the tardiness in updating my blog!

This little keepsake card is for my beautiful niece who will be one at the end of this month.
The tags were cut using George and then I drew stitch lines around them and mounted on to a folded piece of card to stand up.
The photo is zig zag stitched by hand with buttons and ribbon embellishments added. Along with a heart and flower I cut on the George.
The name was printed on my computer and the circles cut on George and a little foam number 1 added.
Other text also done on the PC and hand drew the little stitched pieces. Buttons, hearts and flowers all added along with pink gingham ribbon and a pink gingham bear.

The pretty worded paper was from Pebbles and is the Dictionary Girl sheet.

I made the box, but also stamped it with Woodware baby stamp in Brilliance Orchid (you cannot quite see may have to click on it to zoom) and threaded her name onto wire and curled adding a ribbon.

I thought that the picture from when she was first born was so cute it just had to be used on a keepsake card.

Samms Blog Candy Challenge

Firstly I must congratulate Samm on achieving over 20k hits to her blog, it really is the place to hang out.
Samm has set a challenge for some cool blog candy, you need to create a card that is 'flowerful'.

Below is my attempt, it is a card within a card. The main card is landscape style, which I have stamped with versa mark using the Woodware Bell Flower clear stamp range.
I then took some lilac hammered card and folded it to create a card opening on the left part, punched holes in the left to thred ribbon through, then stuck to the main purple card. I then used the same stamp set to create the flowers, using the Color Box chalk inks, they have been stuck on with foam pads and the rectangle image has been tripled embossed.
Thanks for setting the challenge Samm.

Bear-ing Flowers

I created this chocolate and cream birthday card using the Doodlecharms & George Cartridges from the Cricut machine.

I used various papers for the backing, flowers and bears tum & nose.

The flowers have glitter stickles in the middle to add a bit of sparkle and their stems are created using wire that I have curled in sections.

All finished with chocolate and cream ribbon. Wouldn't you want to receive a bunch of flowers from him?
