Laura Ashley Papers

Laura Ashley have launched their own range of yummy stuff, I made these two cards using their 8x8 papers, they are gorgeous.
The top one I cut the circle on my Expression & cut out the birds on some of the left over paper & embellished them onto the edges. I then cut the scalloped tag using Mini Monograms cartridge I also did this on the shadow setting for the purple behind, I inked the edges with Pastel Olive Colour Box Chalk ink. Added the ribbons three of them to co-ordinate and a few gems.
The Toile one I was not so happy with, just a quarter circle on the bottom right edged with French Blue Colour Box Chalk ink, flower cut from George & embellished with ribbon.

Penny Roll for a New Baby

I was asked to make a new baby card, they had seen another penny roll card that I had made so I decided to adapt it to fit. The baby I cut on my Cricut machine using the New Arrival cartridge along with the sentiment. I did the baby in really pale pink card & then chalked over him so that his skin looks all pink & perfect, the shorts are also inked round the edge for definition. I also cut the baby on shadow to mount under the pink baby to add more depth.
The sentiment is also cut on normal & shadow to let it lift from the page.
I added the bounce line with a Marvey Pen & added a few gems.

The insert I printed on the inside & the outer part so that a message peeked through the slot, all that needs to be done now is to tilt the card left & right to watch the baby roll....lots of smiles on the horizon I hope.

My Godson is Two

I made this card for my cute little Godson, Harry. The card is made with 2 pieces of A5 card that I have stuck together at the top so that the opening is a little more unusual, I then scored along about a cm down so that it opens & then attached some large eyelets with my Crop-a-dial. I threaded that with some matching red ribbon.
The papers are divine, they are from The English Paper company who do a fantastic range of papers.
I cut the 2 on my NEW Expression - yes I have upgraded from the Little Bug, it is great. The 2 is mounted on card & raised slightly.

I just used pink & brown card such a yummy combo and then embellished with various things I cut from my Cricut machine.
The flowers & For You on the inside was cut with Walk in My Garden along with the border flowers on the sides of the lid, the hearts on Doodlecharms, the outside flowers I cut from George.

Choo Chu

Was asked to make a male card with a train on the front, oh how I dislike making cards for men. A simple solution, decoupage adding the persons name to give it that personal touch.

Barrows of Flowers

I created this card for Mother's Day by inking the background with Colour Box inks, I used the edges of them to add definition in the hillside & plants.
The barrow was cut on my Cricut with the Walk in the Garden cart. I inked the flowers using Colour Box inks along with the Mum sentiment cut on Beyond Birthdays. I then added Flower Soft to the flowers & other various places.
My Mum - loved it.
