Boys' Zone

Colourful Skater Dudes

Rock Dude

Cool Skater Dudes

I thought I would play about with my new Woodware Clear stamp range 'Boy Zone'.
The dark blue one, I stamped and coloured with Marvy pens then used Glossy Accents to give the skater dudes a bit of shine, then used little letter beads threaded onto wire and curled either end.

The next two are simply stamped and coloured with Marvy pens, bit of gloss added..I am loving Glossy Accents, the images torn and distressed and then wording stamped all round the edge with a little sentiment under the picture.

There is one other picture in the set with a dude chillin on a beanbag, can't wait to create something with that.

Lets go Shopping - New York Style

No doubt many of you have seen the news about all the floods in the South Yorkshire area, OMG has it been wet, thankfully the house has not been effected, and for myself just some inconvenience of roads being closed on the way to work.
My thoughts go out to all those that are not in their home at the moment because water has taken hold of their property.
On a lighter note, I understand from a friend that it is 90c in New York at the moment, so if you are planning on shopping there plan to take a fan along or better still just stay in an ice box!!!
This card was made using a beautiful stamp from the Sentiment range, I painted her with H2o's and shimmer paints, I used glossy accents on the hat bow and dog to add a bit of texture. The background I created using Color Box Cats Eyes Chalk stamps they are great for doing a really subtle background.

Smile.....

Well today was a day for smiling, I went to the Stamp Magic Paper Craft show in Doncaster and I bought myself lots of yummy goodies. I picked up ideas for creating great things on the Cricut machine, made something this afternoon but cannot blog it, incase my BIL sees it & it is not his birthday till the end of next month. Talk about being organised!!! Yeah right, I wish!
Anyway the weekend is now nearly over and another busy week looms, but instead of feeling blue give a great big smile and take on the world!

Pamper Yourself

Saturday....time to pamper yourself. I am going to have an all over body clay mask done today to make my skin all delicous! Then chill out with a good film and bottle of wine.
This is all in preparation for the Stamp Magic craft fair tomorrow in Doncaster where I will need my energy so that I can browse round all the stalls selling yummy, fabby things and of course spend lots of money that I don't have!
Hope you are all having a great Saturday.....this card is to you all!

Chocoholic!

Yeah....it's Friday.
It's chippy tea night in our house on a Friday, DH popped off to get the food in so thought I would share my unhealthy diet with this chocoholic card.
It is a simple white card that I ran through my printer with the sentiment and then decorated with chocolate card shaped into yummy chocolates mmmmmm!

The idea came from Enfys who makes brilliant cards and some one to aspire to, hence me scraplifting this idea and creating something a little different.

Simple Inspiration

Hubby out tonight so crafting like crazy, I am feeling better the worst of my cold now seems to have passed.
This card was inspired by a skirt I saw in Laura Ashley, obviously without the sentiment on it, but the colours really appealed to me, although the flowers on the skirt were chunkier and all over I think this has worked well with the flower being off set.
Thank crunchy it's Friday tomorrow....

Cupcake Delight

This is for a long standing friend, who is just about the sweetest person I know, I thought that the sweet sentiment and sugar icing (made using Fluffy Stuff) on this card will surely make her day.
The swirl paper and image are from pinkpetticoat, and I used a daisy stamp along the right hand side, I thought with the quirky fold it added that something different.
I have a bad cold at the moment so making this has really cheered me up.

Elegant Lady

My friend back home (well cannot call it home any more I moved from Kent to Yorkshire 2 years ago) had a birthday earlier this year, she loved this card.
I painted her with twinkle H2o's layered and matted and added some ribbon, voila!

I am One!

I created this tag card for my God Son who was one, back in May. I got the inspiration from a magazine and designed it to suit little Harry.
I made it before I got my Cricut & all the hearts were hand drawn and cut out.
I also made the vellum case to slip the card into.
The photo, sentiments and the name Harry I used my PC for, then cut out and drew on the stitiching effect.
With the photo of Harry I stuck to the tag and then hand stitiched the zig zag stitiching.
The buttons were from my button box, the little green flowers punched using a flower punch.
The really pretty paper with the little pictures and meanings is from pebblesinc.com the name of this design is Dictionary Baby Boy.

Anyway I can safely say that Harry's parents thought the card was also 'the best thing since sliced bread'!

Cat Nap

I was asked to make a birthday card for a friends girlfriend. She is from Belgium therefore the sentiment had to be of her native tounge.
I painted this stamped embossed image with Marvy Le Plume pens that I mixed with water to create a watercolour effect.
She loved it!

Peeking Petal

Peek through the window and you will see a garden of flowers.

I made this for a friend a while ago, the daisy paper is from pinkpetticoat and as usual the daisy has been cut out using my Cricut.
I have had my Cricut for about 6 weeks now and I am loving it, I only have the one cartridge but you can do so much with it.
I hope you are enjoying these posts and looking forward for more arrivals.

Flowers in the Window

This card with its' funky fibres was created using a couple of techniques.

  • The stamped window strip was used by stamping an image into a magic stamp and then inking and stamping the reverse of it onto the card.
  • The flowers are using George on the Cricut machine along with the tags.
  • I used peel offs for the sentiments that I coloured to match using my peel off pens

I loved making this card

Daisy Layers

ooh my second post, getting good at this now.

This is a pretty little square card, the daisies have been cut using my Cricut machine, pink card and some lovely daisy paper from pinkpetticoat. The black is a curved edge square cut from my Cricut & then I have used Happy Birthday from the Woodware clear 'Little Phrases' stamp set. With the clear stamps you can curve lettering to suit, which is what I did here I simply curved the sentiment while on the acrylic block so that it fit with the curved corners.

The daisy paper was lying about my craft cupboard and was yearning to be used on this card.
