When things Don't Go Quite According to Plan

It's rained all day, the sun has not even dared to show its face; this gave me a good excuse to stop indoors and finish all those last Christmas bits and bobs:
The day started well:
Wrapped gifts - check
Made gift tags and placed on gifts - check
Posted last Christmas cards - check
Apple Crumble made - check this is were is goes a little wobbly - it burnt ever so slightly!
Iced the Christmas cake - disaster!

Should I even venture into the stationery cupboard? My creative mojo is definitely on the blink.

Tilda for Christmas

Yep, I have started on the Christmas cards!

Take an Old El Paso Jar & a Bag of Cranberries

I made this to take with me to the families at Christmas, I made the cranberry sauce with fresh cranberries, brown sugar & sherry! Then decorated this Old El Paso jar with Laura Ashley Gingham Paper & gingham ribbon & a couple of embelishments from my stash. The tag on the front says Christmas Together, it is kind of decoupaged so it looks like it is not stuck down properly in the picture.

Merry Christmas Everybody.

Have a Mice Christmas

Cute little pop down card with little mice, coloured again with pencil crayons & blended with Sansador & toullions. A few glossy accents added here & there for a bit of texture.

Penny Black Pop Out

This card was made for someone special, Penny Blacks coloured with pencil crayons & blended with Sansador.

Penny Black 12 Days of Christmas

Lots of photos for this one, sorry but wanted to show it fully. I made it for my BEST crafty friend Gill, check out her blog out, she has some amazing creations

These stamps are from Penny Black, I coloured them with pencil crayons & Sansador & then blended with toulions. The great thing about these stamps is that you do not have to use them just at Christmas. I thought the pop down style card worked nicely with them.

Christmas Tilda's

I am new to Tilda & Edwin, but I love them, again coloured using pencil crayons & Sansador, with a bit of glossy in places.

Card on a Card

This is another Just Bex challenge, you had to create a Christmas card using the layout here. I decided to made the top square into a mini card that tucks behind the Poinsettia to keep it closed.
The gold poinsettias I edged with Rouge chalk ink to soften them, the holly paper is by Anna Griffin.

Button Nosed Reindeer

Over on Just Bex, the challenge has been set to create 5 Christmas cards using buttons, here is one that I did earlier using the Cricut to cut a Reindeer.

This one was also using the Cricut to create the stocking, the red parts are raised up off the green. The tartan ribbon Samm very kindly gave to me.

This one is a reindeer peel off that I stuck onto acetate & glittered the swirly antlers, the button is sparkly & I put a wee snowflake peel off onto it.

The tree was cut on the Cricut twice, one is shadow, the star is a button, the shine is painted using shimmer paints.

This is a swing card using a Woodware Penguin stamp, shimmer paints, fluffy stuff and glitter. The sentiment cut using the Cricut. Paper from the Christmas Stack.

Traditional Twist Challenge

Seem to be on a roll with these challenges at the moment.

This challenge was over on Just Bex, create a traditional red & green Christmas card, but with a modern twist.

I used: The Christmas Stack of paper I talked about in the previous post. The tree, dotted lines and sentiment are Dovecraft, they were quite cheap a little set of 5 stamps for 99p! Color Box chalk inks were used for the tree and dotted lines; Deep Green; I edged the tree topper with same inks; Maroon and Olive Pastel. The sentiment is in black but edged with the green.
